REQUIRED DANCE WEAR POLICY

The student’s appearance in class is very important to the overall sense of order and discipline in dance education. When the student prepares for class the teacher is aware that the student is thinking of what is about to happen and is ready to give his or her all to the experience. It is inappropriate to wear a basketball uniform for swimming lessons, therefore I will NOT allow students to wear soccer clothes, cheerleading uniforms, boxer shorts and t-shirts to class. It exhibits a lack of interest in doing things the right way. I highly recommend, for economy sake, that the older students purchase good dancewear. It will hold up in the washer for several years. Younger students may get away with less durable garments.

DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO WEAR OVERSIZED T-SHIRTS, BAGGY SHORTS AND PANTS IN CLASS. THEY WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE THEM!

A NOTE TO ACRO STUDENTS: YOU WILL BE UPSIDE DOWN AND TIED IN KNOTS, BE PREPARED!

STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT PREPARED FOR CLASS WILL BE ASKED TO OBSERVE, RATHER THAN PARTICIPATE.
